Good luck with the move & with learning Portuguese! In my time there with my friends family, everything was cooked from scratch, markets are used constantly and the fish & vegetables are seasonal & exemplary. They have one of the lowest UPF levels in Europe.
I can only imagine how hard it is to part with beloved kitchen equipment and books. I’m sure I could do it if I had to but oh it would be hard. Not sure when you are leaving, Alison, but it might be fun to meet up before you leave…maybe on Bainbridge.
I do a Portuguese shrimp and greens....this scallop recipe very reminiscent
Yum!
What a lovely post, and heartbreaking on the cookbook cull. Safe travels and how exciting to start with a new kitchen.
